About the Role: We are seeking an QA Civil Inspector to join our dynamic and diverse team at the Køge Hospital Project Team I/S. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that construction activities meet specified quality standards, codes, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection and Monitoring
- Inspect construction activities: Monitor on-site work to ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering drawings, and standards.
- Assess materials and workmanship: Verify that materials used in the project meet required standards and are in accordance with approved quality plans.
- Monitor construction processes: Oversee installation procedures for accuracy, quality, and adherence to the project's quality control plan.
- Review of Plans and Specifications
- Review drawings and specifications: Understand and interpret engineering drawings, project plans, and specifications to ensure construction work aligns with them.
- Identify deviations: Report any inconsistencies or deviations from project designs, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain inspection records: Keep detailed logs of all inspections, observations, and test results, including dates, locations, and any corrective measures taken.
- Prepare quality reports: Generate daily, weekly, or monthly inspection and progress reports for submission to project managers or clients.
- Non-conformance reporting (NCR): Document non-conformities and track corrective actions to resolve issues that do not meet specified quality standards.
- Compliance with Standards and Regulations
- Ensure regulatory compliance: Confirm that construction work adheres to local building codes, safety standards, environmental guidelines, and industry regulations.
- Coordinate with authorities: Work with regulatory bodies or third-party inspectors for site inspections and approval of specific stages of construction.
- Testing and Quality Control
- Supervise material testing: Oversee and verify the testing of materials such as concrete, soil, steel, and asphalt to ensure compliance with required standards.
- Conduct site tests: Perform field tests (e.g., slump test, compaction tests) and evaluate test results to ensure that construction quality meets design specifications.
- Verify corrections: Ensure that defects or discrepancies identified during inspections or tests are rectified and re-tested as necessary.
- Coordination with Construction Team
- Liaison with contractors: Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address quality issues and maintain project schedules.
- Advise on quality improvements: Provide feedback and guidance to construction teams on best practices to improve quality and avoid future defects.
- Quality control plan: Ensure that contractors follow the quality control plan
Requirements:
- Relevant Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree
- 5+ years of experience
- Professional proficiency in English, both verbally and written
- High level of communication skills and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and MS Outlook
- Ability to prioritize workload, organize time and tasks efficiently, and be proactive.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

About the Organisation:
The Køge Hospital Project represents a significant expansion and complete renovation of the current hospital in Køge. Upon completion, this project will integrate new specialty departments, various research departments, and a wide array of healthcare services under one roof. This modernized facility will serve the entire Region of Zealand and will be one of the three emergency hospitals in the region, significantly enhancing healthcare delivery.
