About the Role: We are seeking an QA MEP Inspector to join our dynamic and diverse team at the Køge Hospital Project Team I/S. You will be responsible for ensuring that all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems on the construction project meet the required standards and specifications. Your role focuses on the quality control of all MEP installations and ensuring adherence to project requirements and industry standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inspection and Monitoring of MEP Systems
  • Inspect MEP installations: Ensure that mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are installed according to project specifications, codes, and approved drawings.
  • Monitor workmanship: Evaluate the quality of work performed by MEP contractors and subcontractors to ensure it meets required quality standards.
  • Assess materials and equipment: Verify that materials and equipment used for MEP installations comply with project specifications and quality control requirements.
  1. Review of MEP Plans and Specifications
  • Review design documents: Analyze MEP drawings, designs, and technical specifications to ensure compliance during the construction process.
  • Identify deviations: Detect any discrepancies between the actual installation and the approved design and report these for rectification.
  1. Testing and Quality Control
  • Witness and supervise tests: Oversee testing of MEP systems, such as HVAC performance tests, electrical continuity and insulation resistance testing, pressure testing for plumbing systems, and fire safety systems tests.
  • Evaluate test results: Ensure test outcomes meet the project’s acceptance criteria, codes, and standards, and address any failures with corrective actions.
  • Testing equipment calibration: Ensure that all testing instruments and tools are calibrated and functioning properly.
  1. Documentation and Reporting
  • Prepare inspection reports: Maintain detailed records of inspections, non-conformances, test results, and corrective actions.
  • Generate quality reports: Provide daily or weekly reports summarizing inspection activities, results, and observations to project management.
  • Maintain a record of approvals: Ensure all necessary approvals from relevant authorities for MEP systems are obtained and documented.
  1. Compliance with Codes and Standards
  • Ensure code compliance: Verify that all MEP systems meet local, national, and international codes and standards (such as NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE, etc.).
  • Ensure regulatory approvals: Ensure installations comply with regulations and that all required certifications, permits, and approvals are in place for MEP systems.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies: Work with local authorities or third-party inspectors for site inspections and certifications for specific MEP systems.
  1. Coordination with Construction Teams
  • Collaborate with MEP contractors: Liaise with contractors, consultants, and engineers to ensure that quality standards are being upheld in the installation of MEP systems.
  • Provide technical support: Offer guidance to site engineers and workers on best practices and quality standards related to MEP installations.
  • Resolve quality issues: Identify and work with the construction team to resolve any quality-related issues in the installation of MEP systems.

 

Requirements:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Professional proficiency in English, both verbally and written
  • High level of communication skills and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and MS Outlook
  • Ability to prioritize workload, organize time and tasks efficiently, and be proactive.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
